Alero-dantzatik Zeharmailuetara: Euskararen iraganeko hiztegian sakonduz

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to continue to deepen the knowledge of the
historical Basque dictionary. To this end, we have followed the main lines of
some previous works, methodologically, chronologically and from geography.
Basing our work on original records of past centuries, and with the support
of published research, we have selected several words. To carry out our aim,
we have mostly looked at the Guipuzcoan writings from the Sixteenth to the
beginning of the Eighteenth century. The chosen concepts have been the most
remarkable or meaningful to us, because they were completely unknown, or
because there is little information about them.
