Abstract

We study the process of annexing of the valleys of Llodio and Orozco to the Brotherhood of Alava in the 15th  century under the domain of the Count of Ayala and the attempt of both to break away from the Brotherhood of Alava and become part of the Domain of Vizcaya, with Llodio failing but Orozco succeeding in the 18th  century.
